Fools follows the new schoolteacher, Leon Steponovich Tolchinsky, the one hired to break the curse by educating the magistrate's daughter, Sophia, who is particularly affected. Leon is given just 24 hours to successfully educate Sophia or he, too, will succumb to the village's foolishness, leading to a hilarious race against time and an unexpected twist.
