CLUE (play) calls for 11 different locations, a secret passageway, and an opening portrait that doubles as a hidden safe. When I designed this show, I wanted to have mobile, double-sided flats that could be angled and combined to create different looks and locations quickly and easily, and to accommodate the needs of this show. For instance, the bookshelf opened as the secret passageway.

DESIGN PACKAGE

This production was produced by a high school that hires out theatre professionals to design & build the world of their selected pieces for each season. Their space had the classic constraints of no backstage space & small downstage space, but all scenic units needed to be dynamic or easy/small to move on and off stage.
